If Tang dynasty survived for a few hundreds of years and An Lushan rebellion didn‘t happen, do you see Iranians being absorbed into Han Chinese identity?

No. Iran by An lushan rebellion just got conquered by the caliphate. Tang had almost no influence in Iran at any point. At most, Tang might be able to hold onto central Asia for a few hundred more years and completely Tangify central Asia.

There were Iranic groups in Central Asia not just in Iran proper. Like Sogdians for example.

The question was on Iranians, so I assumed in the modern sense. Not iranic, which are most populations in central Asia. Sogdians were not heavily assimilated at the time, they were able to keep their customs, language etc. there just weren't enough chinese there, since only soldiers and merchants, not too many settlers. Would take a few hundred years for the soldiers to become settlers by marrying local women.

Are there any Indians here? If so, why is urban planning such a disaster there? And for god‘s sake what‘s with painting pavement walls black and yellow? It just screams third world. I think with just a little but of money, Indian cities can be made to look so good but they don‘t do it. Even neighboring Sri Lanka looks better than any Indian city.

Is there a dictionary/glossary for military terms in the Chinese language? I'd prefer if the dictionary/glossary is in Chinese-Chinese -- chinese term with an explanation in chinese -- or Chinese-English.

We had one for nicknames/forum black speech around ten years ago on this very forum. A lot of those are out of date though .
