My opinions regarding a possible attack on Turkey:

The attack on Qatar was a direct message to Turkey. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they attack Turkey next (i.e. Turkish bases abroad) in some way within just a couple of months. Meanwhile, Erdoğan is busy still finding new ways to commit high treason in order to cling to power.

He has intentionally weakened the military -particularly the air force- leaving Turkey very vulnerable to an attack as a result...
Don't believe/laugh all you want, but Article 5 most certainly won't protect Turkey, especially if Israel attacks Turkish personnel in Syria or even if Turkish soil is attacked.

We've long passed the point where there are any repercussions for anything they do.
Turkey neither has an air force that can match their technological strength and numbers, nor the vast missile inventory of Iran.

Critical projects, such as Kaan, TF-2000, Siper Block 3, Milden, or the Aircraft Carrier, are each at least three to five years away from entering service.

It would be perfectly in keeping with our current stupidest timeline for NATO to be irretrievably broken by Israel attacking Turkey and the rest of NATO doing the most amazing mental gymnastics to explain why Article 5 doesn’t apply, thereby neatly nullifying the whole fucking point to NATO.
Article 5 is not what people think

if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.
Notice the legalese. Other members aren't obligated to assist the victim with armed forces. It's up to individual members to determine if it is "necessary".

Only turkey has the power to fight israel and eventually take over its old ottoman holdings of Palestine.
It would be fitting if they did, for Israel to be ended by a Muslim country that is its counterpart, and Israel is probably the only country for which I'd cheer on Turkey for, but when it comes to power, the more likely end to Israeli bloodlust would come from China with Pax Sinica. The biggest difference is that China is soft-hearted and will let Israel survive as long as they repent their crimes and throw their best efforts at building a positive relationship with China, thus allowing the plague to lay dormant until conditions allow it to fester again. But Turkey, I believe that nation has the will and the lack of mercy to finish Israel and subjugate them to everything they did to the Palestinians if they had the chance.
