TB2T-AI reached an altitude of more than 40000ft:

Interestingly, it has bigger IR cameras. My first impression was IRIS-200 but they might be too small for it. They are definitely for machine learning purposes though such as automatic target detection/tracking.

According to Defence Turkey, Siper Block-1 has 150km range and the AESA seeker for the Gökbora is going to be GaN based:
It's already quite funny that China and Russia deploys AESA seekers ahead of US.
Turkey doing GAN AA seeker(when it literally came to AAM world yesterday) ahead of any AESA one in Europe would be equally amusing.
Or, i guess, normal?

Whatever the case may be, defence industry is all about creating momentum and sustaining said momentum. Both equally important. The US and to a larger extend EU has failed to keep up the momentum despite having created the momentum.

But if push comes to shove, they'll be able to achieve whatever the rest is achieving.

Wow, Turkish Aircraft Carrier to be completed by 2030:

İstanbul Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral Recep Erdinç Yetkin:

- We have started the construction of the National Aircraft Carrier. It will be 285 meters long and 60,000 tons. Anadolu was 230 meters and 27,000 tons.

- Kızılelma, TB3, Anka, and TB2 will take off and land on it.

- We aim to launch it into the sea in 2027-2028, with delivery in five years. We won’t go beyond 2030.

- We will complete the test flight ramp of the National Aircraft Carrier within a few months. We will provide this ramp to our aircraft manufacturing companies, BAYKAR and TUSAŞ, and they will begin flight tests on land.

I doubt that they can construct and test a first carrier with this level of speed. More likely operational before 2032 or something similar. Overall an admirable level of growth in capabilities.
The head of SSB already said it won't take as long as the previous projects that took 7 years to build. We now hear it also from the Admiral who's responsible for the construction.

They're building it in mega blocks which will be outfitted with a lot of their systems before putting them together, to cut down time and it won't feature (for now) catapults. Ski ramp is much easier and faster to construct.

Time will tell.

I don't know if they will build it with arresting gear for a future manned aircrafts or just do a drone oriented carrier. I remember to have seen the Hürjet on some mockup.

With these drones, the weight to slowdown is light and beside the Kızılelma, I don't think they will need arresting gear for propeller driven TB3, TB2 or Anka.

But do they mean the Anka 3? that one will need to be slowed for sure.

They'll get arresting cables but no catapult, at least not for now.
