No. A purge is what the Pentagon desperately needs. There's far too rot in the system and the only workable solution is to get rid of most of the people involved. This is just a shuffling of the decks to make it seem as if something is being done when it's really just business as usual. You'll know that it's a proper purge when the primes start complaining loudly about it.
The US military is riddled with systemic corruption, from politicians to high-ranking officers to corporate departments. Eliminating the military-industrial complex is as difficult as eliminating the medical-industrial complex. In China, there is a term specifically used to mock military corruption in the US: "Commissioner Smith."
