Must be active suspension. Type 15, and 99, already have it.^^^Looking at the track/wheels in the two pics, does these vehicles have a raised/lowered position?

Btw, another notable - new amphibious planing "禁止拍照" tank seems to use same gun and GFCS, but in otherwise completely different turret.
Tbh i wonder why it doesn't use APS as well - huge, relatively weakly armored, exposed vehicle should need it the most? Maybe because Ka- band really hates water particles, but is it that bad even point blank?
Sure looks like itDo you mean this 105 mm gun on the new amphibious tank is the same as on the new ZTZ-201tank?
Yes, it appears to be the case. Very different from normal PLA 105.Do you mean this 105 mm gun on the new amphibious tank is the same as on the new ZTZ-201tank?
Type 99 and basically all previous Chinese tanks don't have hydropneumatic suspension, only the ZTQ-15 is said to have it. Also, not all hydropneumatic suspension are made equal, some are unable to be lowered but instead only allow the vehicle the be tilted etc while others allow all kind of fancy stuff.Must be active suspension. First of all you are mixing up two different concepts of suspensions.Type 99 and basically all previous Chinese tanks don't have hydropneumatic suspension, only the ZTQ-15 is said to have it. Whats a ZTZ-99G, to my knowledge that does not exist. Can you find some sources because most public source just say Type 99 uses bog standard torsion bar system which is incapable of doing what your saying, ie have the vehicle lower itself. Also since torsion bars can't adjust themselves like hydropneumatic suspension I don't see how the active system is going to work.First of all you are mixing up two different concepts of suspensions.
Both type 15 and 99G are said to be using semi active suspensions. In fact, type 15 uses torsion bars in production models because hydro pneumonia suspension was not working well in high elevation areas.
