It usually happens every year and most of the casualties are in Beijing's rural areas and outer suburbs, which is bound to happen considering the isolation of those places.

Most of my friends who live in Beijing city proper say that outside of heavy rain and minor flooding, they're not too affected.
I think China needs to ramp up water infrastructure construction in anticipation of further climate change. The Little Ice Age is over, and continued GHG emissions is not helping neither. Global climate is returning to the era of 3-4000 years ago where Asian Elephants roam the tropical areas of Yangtze and Yellow rivers.

Thing is, India is constantly trying to sell the idea(more like fantasy) of it's future potential.

The problem is that Trump, being a conman himself, can sense a fellow conman from a mile away.
And after being also spanked by Pakistan, Trump saw all the investments and effort that the US made in India in the past, and must be really hating their guts now lol

Modi is gotta be begging Xi for a second chance very very soon

Lots of praise in the West for how Lula is standing up to Trump, especially compared to the capitulation we saw from the EU, Philippines, and Japan.

Combined with the news of the rude awakening India will be getting on Friday, I think the tariffs have finally given BRICS the opportunity to grow its fangs so to speak. In the past, without such external challenges and many member states that didn't necessarily see eye to eye, it was easy to dismiss it as a merely symbolic club of global south nations.

But with Trump now bullying America's closest allies into total economic submission and reorienting its sphere of the global economic order, BRICS is positing itself as a viable alternative economic order where member states are not only guaranteed equitable trading arrangements with one another, but also guarantees of protection and mutual support against such strong arm tactics.

Modi literally went to glaze trump as hard as possible, and Trump is calling India a dead economy. It's so embarrassing.
I always thought long term politicians being huge scammers would be better at knowing when someone is trying to scam them.

Yet Trump is able to pick up stuff all these other politicians have failed to do. Does working in prime real estate in the US require more awareness and shrewdness compared to working in Washington DC?
