I wonder if there a legitimate detrimental impact on the mindset of the people from these bollywood movies.

Whether the cumulative effects of Bollywood films have been more detrimental or beneficial on Indian national defense, regional security, and broader geopolitics is a matter of perspective.

From the Indian government's position, it makes complete sense to have Bollywood promote the Indian armed forces, and by extension, the Indian state. Doing so contributes to the political legitimacy of both entities.

However — like all such endeavors — Bollywood produces idealized accounts of the Indian armed forces that leave audiences out of touch with regard to the actual capabilities of the IAF, IN, IA, and adjacent entities like RAW.

In tangible terms: the Indian public's unwarranted confidence in the Indian military increases pressure on the Indian government to pursue wars and conflicts that it is unprepared for.

This is what I mean as detrimental, it might become a loop where Public is duped, public is anger when reality hits, pressure on politicians, they do something rash , deflect/bollywood magic and loop begins again.

The GE 414 is meant to be used in Tejas Mk 2.
It is the same engine used in the Super Hornet and Gripen NG. It is a decent engine. Basically Gen 4.5. I highly doubt the US will do full tech transfer to India. What might happen is something similar to the deal of the GE 404 with Sweden as RM12. Local assembly of engines and transfer of technology to manufacture the cold section of the engines.

For AMCA the Indians are trying to get deals with France, the UK, or Japan to get a Gen 5 engine.

But the point is - and I simply do not understand it, why they don‘t get it - they are not in the position to demand anything!
Neither GE in the US nor France or the UK will ever grant them full ToT of a decent 5th generation engine … that‘s impossible and even more to think they could only shows how delusional these guys are!

I'm reasonably confident that most Indians 'learn' about their 'history' from Bollywood films. There was an uptick in Indian abuse towards Muslims, centered around the supposed torture of some Hindu folk-hero by the Muslim conquerors, right around the time a movie was released depicting these events. And they were all pretending that they'd known this from the beginning and they were only now bringing up this justification to hate Muslims because... some reason?

Complete ToT of engines ,whatever is the favourite buzzword on IDRW and so on ,even Russia says complete ToT IF the jaihinds buy the Su57 Felon 5 gen fighter but will Moscow actually part with all the source codes/tech of the AL51 engine and airframe/avionics and just as important does /can india have the industry from high end manufacturing, metallurgy, materials engineering ,avionics etc to replicate the entire supply chain from raw materials to finished/flying aircraft-NO india does not.-so it's a lost cause anyways.BTW channels like WION has been saying non-stop that the BAF J-7 crash was of a CHINESE,CHINESE,CHINESE jet that did so ad nauseum-this type of thinking is rife from top to bottom in their society and as China becomes ever stronger, ever more advanced, ever more prosperous -it will get worse-no rapprochement is possible with this type of mentality.

Its not just IDRW,their defense officials (ministry) also says the same thing.
Its just my guess but i think its intentional misdirection,
Hear me out.
Just like apple iphones that are assembled in india not made (everything comes from china)
I think They will pay for the companies to setup a plant in india, have their own workers, engineers, get the parts sent over and the companies own people will 'assemble' it, imagine if a safran assembly plant got transplanted from france to india.
It allows the politicians to say 'made in india, /Tech transfer' even though it is not.

This is just my guess.

Look at this screenshot from indian CNBC 'Rolls Royce and Safran 100% tech transfer AND ip transfer'
DUDE NO WAY this is happening,

Reading the last 10 pages of this thread made me realize at this point, almost anything posted by Indian netiziens should be considered in bad faith or bs by default until proven otherwise.

Oh and if they use words like Bharat, Hindustan in their username or posts, you can be sure they are full on Jai Hinds and can be safely assumed to be wrong.

I'm getting tired of giving them the benefit of the doubt only to be proven once again I should have never gave it to them.

It took you this long to figure it out? I've known for a year. You can trust that 99% of anything coming out of their mouths is fake. May as well just assume it's 100%.

I like to believe that there is still some glimmer of hope and truth in people.

But I'm getting too old and tired to deal with this bs anymore. Esp when it doesn't stop. Pattern recognition plus getting my hands burnt has taught me to pursue more effective strategies that are less draining.
