Those arguments are persuasive, but I don't think those features are exactly obvious especially given the original pictures of 1523 are not that great quality to begin with -- the stowed front undercarriage argument being not too convincing given it is somewhat cast in shadow in that picture, while the lights on the tail argument is somewhat viable but they are also rather small details that are not yet beyond reproach (e.g.: consideration of a new production J-15DH with that tail light configuration).
Of course, I'm always happy to take the word from credible individuals of the Chinese language side.
But it seems in terms of "evidence" we don't have something clearly definitive, like a past picture of prototype sn 1523 with its landing gear extended showing the nose gear, which is why I asked Deino why he said those 1523 was a J-15DT (was there other imagery elsewhere for example).
