It seems only J-35A has been spotted with retractable lensInteresting that they have external Luneburg lenses equipped instead of the internal one that we saw in Zhuhai.
I'm aware of a degree of smoke happening in mil power when adding/reducing thrust on just about all types but the level of smoke we see here and at Zhuhai look closer to the RD-33 originator.
