I saw a US YouTube video that where because people were pointing to AVIC stock price rising, it’s all a lie that Chinese hardware defeated Western hardware and it’s all about just inflating the stock price. Well it doesn’t hurt if it’s the truth also. Cope hard.

It doesn't come as a surprise. The US has lost its martial honour, and everything's about money and stocks now. Reminds me of China's Song Dynasty in a way.

Anti-China videos and China's growing strength form a profound irony. Watching them exhaust themselves for decades in slandering China and the Communist Party of China, yet still failing to prevent China's rise as a global power. This might be the most spectacular failure I've witnessed: after decades of efforts, instead of approaching their goal - the collapse of the CPC and China - it has become more unattainable. I can hardly imagine their frustration when witnessing China's expanding role on the international stage.

At some point the Vietnamese just needs to let go of past history and just accept the fact that ancient times were brutal: larger empires conquering and subjugating smaller states was just the norm back then. China eventually learned that trading with Vietnam was more profitable than conquering it, and China has not attempted to conquer Vietnam within the last few hundred years and will not attempt to do so in the future.

Replace 'attempted' with 'bothered'.

I think the thing with education is that in China, there is a disparity between rural and urban education. While urban education in China is of course is top notch, the last statistic I could find on rural education is that most rural schools have around a 50% drop out rate. Considering that 35% of China's population still lives in the countryside, that's not a small number and something that has to be improved on for China to reach developed nation status.

Considering current economic status, it's too tough for poor kids get a decent job, no matter how much they're educated. So some poor parents tend to let their kids stop study at sometime & make livings ASAP.

You need to get a master degree in hotspot majors of not-that-bad universities, then could only get a fair job. That's too difficult, time/energy-consuming for poor families. If you fail to achieve that, then you'll quickly find that other jobs are also achieveable for not-much-educated kids, such as delivery, phone assembly, etc. So education in Chinese poor families is actually becoming a high-stakes gambling.

Rich/Mid-class families don't have to consider these questions though. Rich guys don't rush their kids to make livings for family. Education in rich families are more of entertainment.

There is not a 50% rural school dropout rate. That is an extreme claim and you provided no evidence for it.

Data from the Ministry of Education show that as of the end of 2019, the consolidation rate of nine-year compulsory education in my country reached 94.8%; as of November 30, 2020, the number of dropouts in compulsory education nationwide has dropped from approximately 600,000 at the beginning of the establishment of the database to 831, of which 200,000 dropout students with registered files have been dynamically cleared, laying a solid foundation for achieving the goal of a 95% consolidation rate for nine-year compulsory education in 2020.

It is more that HDI takes the average years of schooling across the entire adult population and China has a large demographic born in the 1960's and 1970's with less education. China can never have high average years of schooling even if every single person born since 2000 has a PhD because of this demographic will always count until they pass away, and they're not going to pass away until the 2040's thanks to healthcare advances.

My sources is this documentary from CNA (Singaporean, so they're usually neutral on China) and SCMP.
