I think so. This is what I thought when India sent Ajit Doval to speak to Wang Yi right after the hostilities and then Modi hit against Trump's steel/alum tariffs today when it's easy to massage Trump's ego to get a good deal from India's position. I thought they'd be angrier than a hornets' nest at China and they'd fall right into line with Trump but that's not what they did.Even India is mostly neutral towards China and more neutral than Vietnam. I am impressed. Indians might have a hard mouth but they have good instincts. They recognize it is not in their interest to get on China's bad side.
I predict India will be more pro China in 2026 than 2024.
As I said before, I don't know about the 80IQ average thing but from my experience, Indians are not stupid people. I think their leadership wants more to be on good terms with China after this conflict because they are starting to understand that China can transform Pakistan's military into something that India absolutely cannot contend with and while they may have previously 1. doubted China's ability compared to the Western machines that India bought and 2. thought that Pakistani budgetary limitations can prevent their military growth, now they see that $75M (maintenance package included) J-10CE can take down $250M Rafales without loss, overturning both safeties they thought they had. Thus, their actions show that they feel they need to convince China to be more neutral.
