India will reveal losses "when appropriate," official says, after Pakistan's claims it shot down Indian jets

From CNN’s Matthew Chance in New Delhi
India will share details of its losses in its standoff with Pakistan “when appropriate,” an Indian official told CNN.

“We have a history of acknowledging our losses and those who have laid down their lives for the country. Our conscience is very clear. Operation Sindoor is still ongoing and operational details will be shared when appropriate,” the Indian official with knowledge of the matter said.

Some context: Pakistan claims it shot down five Indian fighter jets during recent Indian strikes on targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir amid rising tensions after last month’s terror attack in India-administered Kashmir that killed 26 civilians.
Indian officials have so far either denied the loss of aircraft or refused to comment. CNN has not been able to independently verify Pakistan’s claims it shot down five fighter jets.

Just saw the detailed news report on this - Looks like they targeted all major PAF Bases. Luckily most were intercepted.

1 intercepted at nurkhan, 1 hit the tarmac, all 6 at shorkot intercepted.
All aircraft are safe as of now at nurkhan.
Ballistic Missiles (surface to surface) fired by India at Nur Khan Airbase and shorkot airbase
Shorkot: All intercepted

But this is an airbase near the border and hence IMO a high priority target. Not providing adequate protection for such an important asset seems to me to be a big mistake

Yeah it seems that air defense is a relative weakness of the Pakistan military. No need to cope. Guess they’ll improve as they fight.

Even though HQ-9 is not a dedicated anti BMD PLA have had success intercepting the DF series with it.

Pakistan still has much to learn.

When opportunity comes, you go for the kill, you don't hesitate, you don't "show restraint". And above all, for sure you don't sit back and keep passively absorbing hits
Yes sir, They are resorting to BM's and Drones now as THE IAF IS INEFFECTIVE. Pakistan will need to go on offensive sooner then later.

Luckily, there were a lot of interceptions as well:

No military depends on air defence systems for defending the airspace and important facilities/places all the time

Pakistan is sitting around trying to intercept all missiles and drones. For anyone remotely knowledgeable, that's a failing strategy. Defence is defence and attack is attack. Attacker has to succeed only once, defence has to succeed all the times

If you keep sitting back, you only invite further aggression
