I don’t follow internal politics anymore, but based on what I’ve heard from people, Erdoğan is basically undermining the opposition and trying to get rid of his strongest opponents. He’s going full autocrat.
I’ve also heard that he’s likely planning to appoint his previous opponent as the leader of the opposition again, since the guy is essentially a useless weakling (exactly the type the West would want in power but Erdo is not that different in this regard either) who caused the majority of the population to lose their final shot at democratically getting rid of Erdoğan — just because, encouraged by his yes-men, he wanted to be the candidate and win the presidential elections.

If it'll make any of you single guys feel any better, please know these sort of marriages with expat women from developed Western countries are rarely sustainable.
Most of these girls are "bat shit insane," even if it isn't visible on social media. Why else would they leave everything behind to move to a foreign country in the first place?!
They're almost always running away from something, which usually means they're poorly socialized, if not outright dysfunctional and/or traumatized by their past.
