Is there a photo of this thing?

We also don't know if the J-50 and J-36 prototypes are indeed prototypes or X-planes.

Yes. This satellite photo was taken (or publicized) right after the J-36 and J-XDS' debuts, but it is certain that the aircraft has been existing and flying way before then.

There's no way that those are X-planes.

And given the present development progress of the manned components of 6th-gen systems on both sides of the lake, I'd say that both the US and China is reaching, if not already reached the prototype (if not EMD) stages for their respective manned components of their 6th-gen systems within these few years.

(Further discussion will be continued in the Chengdu next-gen J-36 thread)

Actually China came up with J-36 and J-50 to counter NGAD, only to find out NGAD is just a J-20 clone.
What's actually going to happen is F-47 will be cancelled half way through development, when cost overrun and delays pop up at the same time as when US realize F-47 is and was always obsolete.
The US is already aware F-47 will be totally obsolete by the time it enters service.

Jokes aside there does appear to be a lot of gloating which is pretty deserved for the Americans. However based off the aircraft render itself from the two images we've seen, The design looks pretty unique and impressive, clearly builds a lot off the X-36 and I'm really intrigued by the potential dihedral wing. The F-47 could potential turn out to be insanely impressive in terms of capabilities, they've definitely gone all out on the design of this aircraft, I can see how this proposal from Boeing was "more revolutionary" than what lockheed's proposal could've been. This is no time to be only joking about the aircraft and it's development.

Apparently Lockheed showed their NGAD on Twitter and deleted it
