Israeli tourist, homestay host raped in Hampi, male friend's body found in canal​

Three male companions, who were with the women, were assaulted and then thrown into a canal near Hampi in Karnataka. While two of them managed to come out of the waters, the body of another was recovered this morning.​

Two women, a 27-year-old Israeli tourist and a 29-year-old homestay owner, were gang-raped near Hampi in Karnataka on Thursday night. Three male companions, who were with the women, were also assaulted by the attackers and later thrown into a canal. One of the men's bodies was recovered from the waters this morning.
According to the police, the incident happened between 11 and 11.30 pm on Thursday by Sanapur Lake - roughly 4 km from Hampi, which is a popular tourist attraction in Karnataka, especially among foreigners. Four tourists, including an Israeli woman, three males from Odisha, the US and Maharashtra, respectively, along with their female homestay owner had gone stargazing after dinner. The group was sitting by the bank of the Tungabhadra Canal near the lake, playing guitar and enjoying music while stargazing, police said.

But it is a clear effort to apply pressure on the White House to transition Puerto Rico out of its current status as a U.S. territory.

Trump has not indicated that he wants to rid the U.S. of the territory.

It also comes amid outrage over Trump seeking to establish English as the official language of the U.S. – raising questions on what that means for the mostly-Spanish-speaking island.

The order, if ever adopted, would establish a 21-month timeline for the end of birthright citizenship for Puerto Ricans.

Any person born in Puerto Rico after December 31, 2026 would not be eligible for birthright citizenship, but anyone who was made a U.S. citizen through their birth in Puerto Rico before that date would retain their U.S. citizenship.

'This plan results in $617.8 billion in savings for the U.S. while providing Puerto Rico with the necessary resources for economic self-sufficiency,' the draf proposal notes.

The draft notes how Washington is projected to spend $1.37 trillion over the next 50 years in supporting Puerto Rico – in addition to up to $8.6 billion in disaster relief.

Should Trump adopt the action proposed in the document, there would be a decades-long plan to give Puerto Rico $36 billion every year for 20 years in a so-called Puerto Rico Transition Fund. It would over the next two decades 'facilitate Puerto Rico's successful transition to independence.'

I would say Russian PR was way better than CeeCeePee. RT was an example until it was blocked by the west after the Ukraine war broke out. Other than that, I really don't care what the Russians are going to do or wish to do. In my living experience, the current crops of Russians were utterly rejected by the west and are very upset and angry of the west. But given a chance, they would go back in a heartbeat. Just like Iranians. You may call me biased, but anything I see in RT is Russian by default.

BTW, I really don't care what Indians say or wish either. This planet is big enough and Chinese just being Chinese.
