Logistics is the key. This means you must have the right type of vessels and well trained crew. Most importantly you must have the numbers to keep the logistics line flowing 24/7 if needed.

After their oiler got hit by a missile "ran aground" US navy hired commercial cargo ships to resupply their carrier.
China has the largest commercial shipping fleet in human history...

In other words China is the only country on earth actually capable of supplying a real war (where people can shoot back) across the Pacific.

According to the website of Australia's defense department on Sunday, a PLA Navy task group consisting of the Type 055 large destroyer Zunyi, the Type 054A frigate Hengyang and the Type 903 replenishment vessel Weishanhu operated approximately 570 nautical miles southeast of Perth.

Confirmation that the Type 055 is around 13,000 tons.
China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), the maker of the Type 055, introduced some of the technical details of the warship in a social media post on Weibo on February 24.

The Type 055 large destroyer has a displacement of about 13,000 tons, is equipped with AESA (active electronically scanned array) and X-band radars, integrated radio frequency system, as well as a 112-cell missile vertical launch system capable of hosting YJ-21 "carrier killer" missiles, HQ-9B air defense missiles, alongside anti-missile and anti-submarine systems, CSSC said.

They will all be travelling around the earth in desperate search for a new generation of Sir Francis Drake, Blackbeard or Madame Cheng. Should they arrive at my doorsteps i guess the most exciting thing they would find would be a ship transporting IKEA dressers running out of coffee powder. And as our Swedish shipbuildning industri is limited to constructing advanced rowing boats we will immediately recommission the Vasa ship from the 1500th century from its cold and dark museum to once again sail and "protect" the open seas for hopefully more than the 100 meters it sailed before it sank the first time.

Have we got any proof or reliable sources that 055's VLS has been equipped with HHQ-19 & HHQ-26, or even HHQ-29?

These are all Anti-Tactical Ballistic Missile (ATBM) systems working at different stages. HHQ-19 is for mid-course (like improved THAAD), and HHQ-26/HHQ-29(?) is for final-course (like improved PAC-3).

I'm not sure about this. But there were rumors around for quite some time.
