There is nothing valuable about a recommendation algorithm. It's all about exposing the inconsistencies and hypocrisy in US system.

Even if that is true, if a sale does happen, we are still losing an extremely valuable platform that had already amassed hundreds of millions of active American users that is on a scale that no other social media app had ever achieved.

And a Chinese creation no less.

Just on the basis of pride and representation, I really really do not want us to lose this app. I also do not honestly foresee Rednote is able to take over TikTok's place anything soon, although I do wish I can eat my words.

IMO this could be the start of a trend, a blueprint if you will for Chinese companies to operate in the US, including auto, drone, renewables, and perhaps even the likes of Shein and Temu.

And I honestly do not think those people have bargaining chips over TikTok, knowing how they start backtracking their own policies and witnessing how their shit backfires by the general public. This bluff is so easy to call!!!

would be fking stupid to sell any percentage of TikTok when we can clearly see it will ultimately be for nothing!!!

China never banned these companies outright for being American. They can operate in China if they wanted to.
