for being first to cross the bridge and start this breakthrough for Chinese soft power. Think about it— XHS isn't even in English! You have to jump through hoops just to sign up and learn how to use the app. It took an aggressive, concentrated and coordinated effort from 700k+ Gen Z to move onto a completely foreign app in two days. I doubt any strategist from the US or China could've even entertained this idea as a possibility.

Gen Z has purposefully acted to start a people-to-people exchange and for the first time, upturned the front of geopolitics. It really shows that for a generation that has just began their 20s, they are powerful and have unrealized potential.

NEW YORK, Jan 16 - Chinese social media app RedNote, known in China as Xiaohongshu, gained nearly 3 million U.S. users in one day earlier this week as a flood of self-proclaimed "TikTok Refugees" joined, according to new data from analytics firm Similarweb.
The Chinese-language app had about 3.4 million daily active users across both iOS and Android devices in the United States as of Monday, up from fewer than 700,000 the day prior, and around 300,000 the week prior, according to the Similarweb estimate.

Why don't these Congressional Committees put their high powered lenses on themselves and fix their own problems-they're beginning to sound like indians who can't let a day go by without mentioning China meanwhile their own house "burns"-figuratively and literally.
