The Chinese last fight was painted with oil and canvas. All you have to tell about China is the Korean War where the first day China entered, the US spent the rest of it running away. Americans don’t like it when you say that hard truth and it defies what the General is saying. Then they’ll make excuses that was seventy years ago. Oh like how the last modern naval battle for the US was more than that on how they claim the US has more experience? Apply that logic to China’s capability when the last they met China won against the US. The US Navy has never been in a fight with a peer adversary in over seventy years.

If US was recording performance in Vietnam and Korea with oil and canvas, maybe that's more their own fault because they lost the supply lines to record with cameras like normal people.

America has also not fought since Vietnam, where they were last seen mindlessly sending human waves on planes into air defenses.

Getting shot at with surface mode Hq-2s by some swarthy Arab cavemen isn't really a combat experience... More like an inconvenience experience.

There's a lot of parallels here.

Musk is a corrupt and boorish sociopath who is an outsider to the traditional oligarchy in US.

His rise to power only happened because US now requires a modernization that the traditional institutions cannot carry out.

He has no respects for the power traditions, or for the abstract idea of popular democracy.

He fathered many children by many different women yet in the public pretends as a normal relatable family man.

Yet despite all these faults, Musk's reforms in SpaceX has given America the only major field (space launch capacity) that they lead over China in, which no other US official could do.

With his one million H100 Nvidia GPUs you would think he would be able to train a LLM to troll for him.

Not really, that dude did a lot of damage for example by appeasing the rising power Japan. Musk is just on the same trajectory, or worse.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. Or sheer greediness? In this case, look no further to Boeing; their current business culture and quality control (lack thereof) and how it emanates to US institutions (FAA) and Boeing's own subcontractors providing the necessary components/spare parts, maintenence and services. It's comically bad that even their execution of silencing whistleblowers are sloppy and pretty much an open secret; might as well call in the Russians have those whistleblowers mysteriously fall out the window of multistory buildings.
