As long as China is a non-interventionist country, none of what you suggest is possible.

At most, all China can do is invest in local talent to reduce its dependence on Western technology and avoid major damage in the event of widespread sanctions across the economy, such as those in the semiconductor sector.

China does not have the soft power to use its media to install an anti-US regime in South Korea and Japan. And the war in Europe has only accelerated the number of European and Russian talents going to work in the US and escaping the European decline.

And on top of that, with Russia and NATO moving towards a stalemate agreement on Ukraine, China will not be able to count on Russia's M.A.D. power when the US focuses on Asia with Trump.

With the agreement in force, Russia will only be officially neutral at best, selling oil and wheat to all sides, but without involving its military and nuclear force in Asia.

why will there be stalemate when Russia is creating a society that will have to take a different course and it has the leadership in technology, firepower and economic power second to none permanently. I am sure Putin has discovered through big data what kind of people and blood quality in his society when you moblize on scale of Ukraine.
They wanted to make sure that other regions of Russia also participate to see these different kind of muslims. (they know what culture to pursue but they wanted to invite every one).

To be fair there's way less willing Chinese. And I'd bet in comparison to their original class they're also much worse compared to the Indians.

India is sending their best that self select maybe top 1 out of 10 000. Meanwhile for China, the entire top quartile in talent is very unlikely to consider US at all, and out of the remaining 75%, going to US typically selects for some of the lazier or more western dovish people (which doesn't have to mean they have worse innate talents, just that they're lazier).

If we assumed H1B was based on merit only, I could completely believe that the distribution above is fair. If anything I think US is on a person basis more likely to be pro-Chinese bias than pro-Indian biased. Americans just don't like people with certain phenotypes and Indians are hitting all the wrong spots.

They can easily get more Chinese but they choose not to. Hidden prejudice and lack of nepotism at top levels prevents it.

That their problem anyway. Even if Chinese do get a job in the US, it's only a matter of time before they go back home to use their experience to reach their real potential. For those who already had success in high paying fields, it's not even about the money but self-actualization which they can't find in the US anymore.

They can't get Chinese as easily because Chinese tech. companies pay competitively for top end talent (when factoring in cost of living - any where in China is basically much cheaper than Silicon Valley) and even middle end Chinese talent aren't as desperate as your typical Indian.

Software engineers are younger than average, and younger Chinese today have much higher standards than their parents did.

Add on top of this all of the deep state's racism and distrust towards Chinese and it's easy to see why they've had to turn to Indians.

So apparently Elon is drunk or something and saying there are not enough smart white people in USA for engineering so we need to hire more H1B visa guys aka INDIANS.

He's getting a massive blowback for this. But he's not saying anything new though. We know corporations want to do this because they can pay Indians less and also there's a huge nepotistic network built from decades.

Interesting I saw something from the MAGA crowd say look at China, they seem to be doing quite well in STEM and they don't need to import any Indians!

To me it seems clear that the guy said yada yada Im experienced and would have worked for free and Musk replied "yeah we were stupid for not hiring you".

The more interesting part is that Indians are such an eggshell topic for Americans that even slightly accidentally implying something like Musk might have done is immediate cause for a backlash like that. The whole thing reveals more about Musk's audience than about Musk himself.

I really don't know if it's intentional or not. The way Indians somehow manage to get enemies to put aside their differences because their mutual hatred of India is just that strong. Truly amazing.

When I first watched Watchman I thought the idea that Dr Manhattan could get world peace by simply getting everyone to unite in their hatred against him was stupid. But now it doesn't seem so farfetched.
