Remember the same law that prevents the US military from taking down these drones is the same law that prevents the US military from being used against Americans. And Trump is also talking about that. China or Iran is behind it. What a good excuse to repeal the law under the guise it’s a national security threat.

Not really. If Russia had just razed every city regardless of military presence, this war would have been over long ago. I mean, the estimated deaths in Gaza sit between 600k and 1m, we are talking about half of the population exterminated in a year while the Ukraine war's civilian death toll have yet to break 15k in 3 years of all out war.
If "decapitating enemy leaders" doesn't affect the outcome or your goals, then its just a PR coup and little else plus a waste of usable intel resources that might get outed for it. Basically what Ukraine does

Zelensky was more useful to the Russians alive than dead. They were under constant pressure by their partners/friendly stats to have discussions with Ukraine. The Russians being open for talks and the reluctant agreement to negotiations being hosted by partners like BRICS, India, China etc. Those same partners went to Ukraine who told them to buzz off and slammed the door in their face. Giving Russia a diplomatic way out of the foreign relations dilemma with their friends/neutral partners. Now there isn’t much news about non-western aligned countries attempting diplomacy or negotiations.

Seems like the idea that spy drones don't install ultra-bright lights is just too abstract for the American mind to process.

They do, Chinese companies say they have the best EVs, they don’t steal IP, they aren’t starting wars, but the general western population is either too stupid or too crazy.
Canada is a great example of talk-talk-talk. The Prime Minister’s Office just released a list of 300 guns to be banned (including the T97) talking about showing the commitment to safety, meanwhile a dozen jewellery stores were just robbed, none of them with T97s surely.

Another example from the internet, China stole the IP for the Su-27 and Su-33 prototype! Another stupid bit of history. A plane like the J-16D doesn’t even exist in the Russian military. The Su-33 prototype was 30 years old, smartphones were more powerful than the computers used back then to do the design. Materials and manufacturing are all more advanced, EMALs was basically sci-fi, but Westerners sincerely believe that China would be lost without it.
