Yellow construction hats, high-end gas masks, black outfits, lasers, and molotovs. Maybe more fireworks than umbrellas this time. But it's an almost identical formula.
Why always parliament building? Like in HK, Kaz(?) Now Georgia?
It's not gonna go back to to the good old Manmohan-era days of China-India trade. India had done irreparable damage to it's business reputation, especially to the Chinese. Chinese firms are gonna be very wary of doing business with India this time. Who knows when India is gonna throw another tantrum again.
India going to China because they realize they can't get to where they want to go the Western brand way. And then maybe they'll claim Chinese technology was stolen from India. Some are doing it already. Which is what makes this suspicious. Have China build India and then they drop China and run to the West when they've gotten everything they want.
I'll add one further, with language barrier China and East Asia or the whole Sinosphere had been shielded from importing Bharatis and its culture, so its a NO GO for them, while in West Asia their support of Israel and of its anti Muslim policy had hamstrung their effort of exporting themselves out of poverty. Americans of Indian descent will not help their cause as they were divisive, just look at the appointment of Vivek Ramaswamy and his radical plan of downsizing the federal gov't, do you think the ordinary American will look kindly of his action? Plus majority or most of those Western Indian origin politician and corporate leaders had perform very bad, their incompetency is so obvious that the blow back against further Bharat integration will be meet with strong opposition, now and within the near future in the Collective West. It's not gonna go back to to the good old Manmohan-era days of China-India trade. India had done irreparable damage to it's business reputation, especially to the Chinese. Chinese firms are gonna be very wary of doing business with India this time. Who knows when India is gonna throw another tantrum again.
My guess is that most business between India and China in the future is gonna be strictly transactional. It's gonna be focused on just buying stuff from each other, and little to no FDI.
The West, Japan, SK, and China have all been conned into investing into manufacturing in India. There is no other major industrial economy left for India to con. When the West itself is ditching India, we kinda know that India's game is up. Now that China appears to have chosen to invest in itself and SEA already, India have missed the final boat of rapid industrialization. China and SEA are pushing hard for AI and automation. This is the point-of-no-return for India to rapidly industrialize with it's "demographic dividend".
[Editorial] ‘Martial law ghost story’ that thinks the people are fools
Entered 2024.09.04. 12:31 AM
The Democratic Party of Korea is spreading a conspiracy theory every day that “the Yoon Seok-yeol government is preparing martial law.” Representative Lee Jae-myeong said, “There is talk that they planned to arrest and detain members of the National Assembly at the same time as declaring martial law in order to prevent the National Assembly from demanding the lifting of martial law.” Although the President's Office denied it, the Democratic Party said, “There is information and circumstances,” and “Martial law is probably being planned somewhere in this administration.” People with common sense can't help but shake their heads and claim ghost stories so recklessly and without any basis.
It is no exaggeration to say that in today's world, if the government were to impose martial law, no one in the military would follow suit. The government will probably fall at about the same time. What kind of government would commit such self-harming acts? Even if by some chance the government invokes martial law, under the Constitution, martial law is immediately lifted if the National Assembly requests its lifting with the approval of a majority of its members. Why would the president declare martial law, which is sure to be lifted immediately, when the Democratic Party and the opposition party have 192 seats? It also makes no sense to arrest opposition lawmakers to prevent the lifting of martial law. Arresting lawmakers requires the consent of the National Assembly, but will the Democratic Party, which has absolute seats, give consent?
The Democratic Party claims that Chungam High School graduates like President Yoon are occupying key military positions related to martial law. However, only 4 out of 400 generals graduated from Chungam High School. This is not the first time the Democratic Party has made a martial law joke. In 2017, President Moon Jae-in ordered a special investigation into the military's 'martial law review document', which assumed the worst case scenario of a complete collapse of national order in the event of former President Park Geun-hye's impeachment, as an illegal act related to national security. 37 prosecutors were deployed to investigate about 200 people for 104 days, but all were acquitted. It was an unreasonable commotion to begin with.
Some Democratic Party lawmakers spread the Yun administration's martial law scenario on YouTube after a movie about the December 12 coup became a hit late last year. During the general election, the slogan was “Secure the martial law cordon.” The Democratic Party and its leader Lee Jae-myung are well aware that the 'martial law' claim is unrealistic. However, the reason they spread conspiracy theories that go beyond common sense is because they believe they have nothing to lose because their supporters like them. There may also be an intention to create a situation for the impeachment of the president ahead of Representative Lee's upcoming ruling. The Democratic Party has spread and used ghost stories about mad cow disease, the Cheonan, the Sewol, THAAD, and Fukushima for political purposes. None of these ghost stories are true. The Democratic Party probably knows this too. Knowingly insisting on ghost stories is ultimately because people are considered idiots.
