Atlantic Council think tanker and Washington post writer can't hide their excitement. Stupidity is indeed infinite
And so are random assaults with any weapon in China.Drive by shootings in US are often targeted and affiliated with gang violence. Random drive by shootings are quite rare in US actually.
Thats just pure speculation at this point of time. The motives can be anything. This was a terrorist attack, think Nice truck attacks. The videos and photos on X are pretty gruesome, I don't want to post it here. It definitely isn't an old man with a vendetta, especially during this time in Zhuhai.
The problem with his comments is that he made a guilty charge insinuation without crimes being committed. Imperial Japan committed mass war crimes and mass crimes against humanity along with and in the name of its imperialism. Chinese patriotism did none of that and you can say all you want 'but they gonna one day if you leave them unchecked' but the fact is they havne't and you cannot charge them as guilty until they do.I don't see why we should preemptively be apologetic or justifying about anything. The west likes Imperial Japan. The Philippines like Imperial Japan. Many third world countries too like them. And in the quest to increase their living standards, the west too carried out many crimes.
If China has to defend itself with militarism to keep it's way of life, there's nothing wrong with it. As the most powerful country today, we have a natural right to impose ourselves on others if needed, just like the west did when it was the most powerful entity, just like Japan did when it rose to the first spot in Asia.
Of course I don't advocate for inefficient violent behavior or acting like a crowd of looters and rioters. The atrocities from Imperial Japan are a result of poor military discipline and weak willed command - they lost against even a not united China for a reason.
Curious, did the former editor(?) Of global times, cant remember his name, he is in twitter too, also said something b4 abt ultranationalism? I vaguely remember a twt from him, but i cant remmber exactly...China state media needs to have him attend a live TV interview where they ask him in detail what his comments really meant and to flesh out his thoughts, watch him squirm and then shot him down and tell him why he is wrong like a guilty little primary school kid.
No, Hu Xijin got banned cause he said some uncomfortable truths about the future of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics policies. Similarly Sima Nan didn't get banned for posting "ultranationalist" content, he often touches on sensitive topics, which have nothing to do with ultranationalism. Don't fall for western propaganda.Curious, did the former editor(?) Of global times, cant remember his name, he is in twitter too, also said something b4 abt ultranationalism? After seeing Biden's act after Comrade Trump's victory, I'm starting to think his whole dementia and slip ups are all acts, even calling President Xi a dictator.
Let's not forget that Marco Rubio is the guy that has multiple times claimed Capitalism didn't change China, China changed Capitalism. He probably didn't study history, or else he would know the many times China changed Capitalism previously.
He seems like the late empire reform type. If he is successful he'll prolong the empire, and maybe save it, usually these kind of people just accelerate the decline.
Didn't these guys get liquidated months ago?View attachment 139161
Hmm, looks like Russia needs some help in Ukraine. I'm sure North Korea and China can lend a hand.
