These things are already studied and i bet Russians know the result and they should offer some Doctorate degree in application of Arabic Soft Power. if Putin was leader instead of Gorbachev he would have dissolved this Soviet and Warsaw pact even faster and still create this conflict even after voluntary abandoning them. When Russian say that Large Families are the Elite. what that really mean. you can only guess from hints. Managing the degree of greeness that is the difficult part in creating joint vision.

I find it really interesting that "5 Eyes" was once a perjorative for the mass surveillance, rule-of-law circumventing ECHELON program, but now newspeak has turned it into a proud anglocentric alliance.

Hilarious that people are worried about Chinese spying using TikTok though. Maybe the MSS will learn how badly white people dance, and why the measles vaccine is evil.

There is a growing understanding in the West that the US needs Russia to contain China and that the Biden administration bet against this and lost badly. China also understands that it needs Russia and its vast resources and territory to protect itself from the West.

Therefore this is the perfect scenario for Russia to take advantage of the competition between China and the US. Russia plays its own game and does not trust any side, but will momentarily ally with whoever offers the most long-term advantages.

Russia has become an important swing state in the world and will receive a lot of attention from all sides.

No, that's actually not how it works. Russia and China are close strategic partners and both understand that they need the other for their long term security. Russia isn't Turkey or India trying to eat at every table.

Even if the Trump people made overtures to Russia, a Dem or Repub-classic administration could come into office in four years and undo everything; America is structurally untrustworthy. Russia would pocket whatever concessions America gave and then go on its merry way doing exactly as it was doing before.
