Bad for Russia China relations. Perfidious Russia will be too eager to reunite with the West and be allowed to reexert its influence over Central Asia again.
While I agree that would be the prevailing hot-take based on the recent USA election outcome, I doubt the Russian political class would be so eager to "reunite" with the West as there is no telling what happens in another 4 years (or less) and whether the Trump administration will be able to convince rest of the NATO that Russia is a rehabilitated friend in those 4 years. Vicissitude in US foreign policy is simply too great for Russia (a declared-adversary to the US) to contemplate for any permanent rapprochement. If anything, an arm's length, incremental approach will be taken by both sides. And that approach can be easily derailed during this process. What Russia does know, at this point, is that China is one of the few countries, at this juncture, that has stuck with her despite sanctions and threats. And I don't think she will give up this real relationship for some shiny promises in the future. Russia did trust in those shiny promises at one time, but it will probably be much less trusting this time around.

They already now know that they got tricked into giving up all the eastern bloc and that nato would not expand 1 inch eastwards. Western officials literally been bragging about playing the Russians as fools during TV interviews during the past 2 years.

"When I was on the plane the other day with President Trump, we were talking about the Middle East, and he took a piece of paper and he drew on it. Map of the Middle East with all the nations on..."

Seems far-fetched.
I say BS as well most Americans are hopelessly geographically/historically ignorant-Trump is no exception-All due respect to a president-elect

Why are you acting like Trump hasn’t already been president for 4 years which includes all the classified briefings. If he didn’t know at that time then he would know due to his aides and advisors. It is the same guy that complains about China being 70 miles from the ROC while saying they are 9500 miles away.

LONDON, Nov 6 (Reuters) - The British government on Wednesday ordered China-registered Future Technology Devices International Holding Ltd to sell 80.2% of Scotland-based chip company FTDI over national security risks.
The government said it was concerned that the UK-developed semiconductor technology and associated intellectual property could be deployed in ways that were contrary to UK national security.
