Of course you would hate Turkey if you are on the receiving end. But if you are a Turkish person, you would praise your own cunning politician grabbing cut throat deals. So I think I can respect them enough to not put them in same group as Indian politicians.I seem to recall that Turkey also blackmailed China for a massive amount of money, in the billions, when we needed Varyag to be towed through the Turkish Staits.
We need members in BRICS who will analyze issues from the perspective of whether these issues will benefit BRICS or, realistically, their nation as well. We don't need countries like Turkey who will see every issue as a question of what price it can get paid for its cooperation. Whenever China wants to get something done in BRICS, and a unanimous vote is needed, even if the issue does not affect Turkey, you can bet that Turkey will be sending Beijing an "affordable bill" for not vetoing the notion. Worse, the US will probably be a bidder on the other side and Turkey will veto if America wins the bid and not veto if China pays the higher price. We just don't need that.
Not impressed at all. He took a sucker shot and ran away. I thought Koreans were trained in military Taekwondo. If he didn't want to fight, why did he start? I have a Korean friend who would have killed these 2 and took the jail time just to prove a point if they insulted his country and stepped up to him in Korea. He once got into a drunk fight and I had to pull him off the the dude because the other dude was already knocked out cold but he still couldn't stop punching the dude in the face with the back of his head on the cement. That's how you kill someone. That would be what this guy deserves. Instead, he thinks he's the tough guy because the Korean kept running away from his challenge to continue what was started.
You know despite the extra billions paid, Varyag is well worth the investment. If Indians were there they would straight up steal it. Or worse, steal it and be forced to give it back after some ugly fighting, like them trying to steal Galwan. A true lose lose scenario.
Same goes for BRICS. We know they are the type to extract maximum self interest, and are wise enough to know what they can get away with. Then they can be worked with, so long as interest align. Maybe not give them veto right, but include them in trade deals, because they know it is beneficial to them. Same can't be said for India. India should straight up be limited to dialogue only for photo ops. Indians cannot even be trusted to serve self interest, because they are insane.
