Libya proves the point that trying to install democracy without civil society cohesion and education is a waste of time. It had those things under authoritarian rule but has since been destroyed and it's attempt to revitalize it under democracy has been chaotic.

But America and co weren't trying to install "democracy". They were aiming to just destroy Libya as it was a non-western aligned nation, it also wanted to create a shared currency called the "gold dinar" so that it could sell its oil without using burger bucks. The west just simply wanted it destroyed so that it could be easily exploited and ensure that the petrodollar wasn't challenged. Its the usual playbook.

I didn't say it was specifically the Americans trying to install democracy in Libya. I'm talking about generally.

There is currently a UN contingent with Chinese peacekeepers in Lebanon, whose barracks was recently shaken by a nearby Israeli strike a week ago:

I wonder what would happen in Chinese domestic politics if a Chinese UN peacekeeper is killed due to Israel on the National Day of the PRC, which is October 1st (today in China). It might actually force Chinese leadership to do something more significant with regards to Israel and the Middle East to stem the outrage that would inevitably result from this.

Israel already murdered a Chinese peacekeeper (Maj. Du Zhaoyu) in 2006. He was killed alongside Canadian, Finnish, and Austrian UN peacekeepers.

When India hosted the SCO summit last year, it did in virtual format, while it hosted the G20 lavishly. India doesn't respect the SCO, yet it wants to move the summit out of Pakistan. The SCO can do without India. India is spoiling the SCO just like it is doing with BRICS. India finds itself more in common with the G7 nations, and regards the rest as unworthy. It wants to appoint itself as the "Voice of the Global South" to the G7. The SCO and BRICS should just forget about that Supapowar and let them go play with the G-people.
