as I mentioned earlier, Pompeo’s sentiment is that of the white supremacists in the anglosphere who want Russia to forget its own national interests and subaltern themselves as another “huwhite” country in service to white Anglo chauvinism. Russia alone outproduces entire NATO in artillery shells and china is a whole different beast when it comes to weapons production.
In a prolonged warfare that may last years, weapon production capacity is arguably the most important factor that gives you the edge over your enemies.
The US have just betrayed Russia for the second time, they will surely be eager to be conned for the third time /s

I would not be surprised if certain tensions started to boil over in Asia now. The Philippines have already volunteered themselves for the PLA to apply pressure any time they want.
The play is to keep America pinned everywhere so it cannot commit anywhere. Getting America trapped in a war in the ME only works for China if it wants to take Taiwan back during the course of that war. Otherwise America would have been able to successfully pick off one opponent to allow it pull resources back to better focus on China and Russia in the longer term.
