Remember Trump thinks BYD pays the tariff. So if a BYD EV cost them $10K to make and they're selling it to the customer/dealer for $20K and then add the 100% tariff that BYD pays, the tariff eats up the profit and BYD makes no money but in fact is paying the US $30K.
