Even before the shots are fired, the economic repercussions on the entire globe caused by China suspending shipping, even for a day, will be too much to ignore for the world, and will likely end up with countries around the world putting the blame on the US. Whatever prestige and image the US has remaining will grind to nil at that moment. We cannot take this seriously.
We simply cannot.
Nothing is survivable in a shooting war within the first island chain, all surface combatants will be sunk by PLAAF or Second Artillery.
It's a no-brainer ... for most of the world ... that US can't do shit in the east. But do they acknowledge so themselves? My estimate is 'no'. They think they can pull it off successfully; that's the scary part. Give a gun to an idiot on a busy train with an armed guard and watch what he'll do. Except in this case, replace the idiot with an absolute imbecile, the gun with nukes, and the guard with similar weapons. The result would be catastrophic for everyone.Heck, they could not handle the Houthis, and they will take on all of the Chinese coast.
The entire area within the first island chain is the kill zone, all of it. Venture in there in a shooting war, they are going to die, they are dead. You cannot fight when you are dead. Someone knows this.
If they were smart like Indians, they would've taken the entire charging station instead of just the wires.
This is what Ukraine needs to defeat Russia.
Okay let's begin, Japan is scare shit of Russia so is SK with NK, the Philippines? a type 56a corvette can handle the most largest modern frigate the PN had and the Chinese ship outgun them as the frigate isn't armed with SSM and SAM. The US wish to bring the fight in the Chinese backyard, will those Asian vassals agree? NO they're not, they are not stupid and suicidal unless you're a Japanese....lolThey want to create a Pacific NATO. Eventually all these acronyms will forge into one alliance, that's the plan.
Might as well use the leftovers from Nord Stream job
But, they have a gazillion-strong nominal GDP, majestic standards of living, etc, and they could magically generate 500 new bridges like this one if they wanted, it doesn't matter. They are always the best.
But, they are DeMoCrAcY and have FrEedOm, so they must follow all the rights of "voting", procedures, and environmental studies, first, so it will take some time. It doesn't matter that the indirect economic damage is $15 million per day and 8000 jobs.
That's why they also didn't renew this bridge in 50 years. And this is why they can't clear out this wreckage in 50 days already. Because this is true infrastructure, not the paper one like in Chyna, it is harder to replace.
No, let's stop joking, realistically, imagine this humiliation happening in China, you would have those "intellectuals" at Brookings, and Hoover, already using it as an example of a corrupt state and inefficient regime, and those double-digit IQ channels like Serpentza making a dozen YouTube videos with brain-dead thumbnails.
Whereas China would have already removed the wreckage in 48 hours and started building a new bridge in a week, built it by 2025 probably, and paid it hundreds of times cheaper, due to way more developed construction and industrial sectors.
Or China simply wouldn't have allowed that ancient kind of bridge to operate for 50 years, in the first place and would've renovated it already 20 times by now (or enforced it enough so it wouldn't collapse from one ship colliding with it, as it is one of the most important national bridges).
I agree. I believe Asian countries will not join in any fight with China, even Japan will back down. The US senses this hence the reason why they want NATO to move to the Pacific.Okay let's begin, Japan is scare shit of Russia so is SK with NK, the Philippines? a type 56a corvette can handle the most largest modern frigate the PN had and the Chinese ship outgun them as the frigate isn't armed with SSM and SAM. So its between China and the US (Australia is an extension of the US) mano o mano, the rest are bystander, the theater will be fought at the 2nd island chain not at the 1st Island chain as the US envision. The Chinese will bring the fight to the enemy, Guam and Hawaii will be targeted as soon as the war is initiated.
NATO lite with the Mighty Royal Navy leading the charge with its 2 carrier group....lol that its bro, the only support the American will get from the Europeans. Within the ASEAN the Philippine are being scorned, heck she is the reason why the group had been more united than before as they find it an existential threat to their survival, even tiny Singapore with its PRO AMERICAN VIEW find it concerning.I agree. Stoltenberg is first Nato Sect General that has visited Saudi Arabia and from the wording of tweet he understand what Saudi expects but its another matter to what extent he understand. US is now key provider to Airbus and that Airbus what is expected in Gulf emirates. there many other things but Aviation that i follow. This is the titanium for A350 which highly Saudi going to order if B787 not soon enough.Stoltenberg's childish tantrums are best ignored. Everyone knows he's just an American stooge and lobbyist with little actual power.
The China-Europe relationship is complicated. Europe's intel agencies and militaries (which are closely integrated within Nato i.e. US intel/military structure) want a tougher stance on China while the business community want cooperation with China. Europe is still trying to find the appropriate balance between those two forces, but the status quo benefits China because the balance of economic/tech/military power shifts in China's favor every year. So China will continue trying to pursue good relationship with Europe.
