I don't know a lot about Serbian election but looks like another coloured revolution crushed?
The current party Vucic is leading won the recent elections with a majority and the West-backed opposition won't accept the results peacefully and instead wants to pressure for repeated elections due to so-called "election irregularities". They are also crying to the Collective West to put pressure on Vucic politically and allow for re-elections.
But strangely they want repeated elections only for the capital city Belgrade, when the race was closer, because they know that they stand no chance at the country level. Strange how people voted for both levels at the same time, and one is irregular, and one wasn't but what can you do, maybe those are some kind of Western 'democratic' principles idk about.
One or two thousand of them (in a city of two million) tonight started destroying the capital city parliament building from the 18th century violently, despite being called "Serbia against violence", haha. They want to create more violence to increase pressure on Vucic. But then the police came and they ran away in fear, tens of them were immediately arrested and got tear gas.
However, the party in charge alleges that this wasn't accidental and that they have funding and planning from outside sources (Vucic won't say it is the West clearly), but we know. These are liberal extremists. He alleges that the opposition is preparing a Maidan-like scenario for Serbia, but that they won't win.
Anyways, those pro-Western opposition parties are like clowns here, every poll, shows 80% of Serbia is against the EU, NATO, sanctions for Russia, etc. But they are small but are also very violent. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also agreed with Vucic in this regard so there is some credence, also Vucic predicted this before it happened.
