I never said any of those things so you're just strawmaning my position. And you didn't address any of my points.
My position has always been that the Ukraine conflict is a worthwhile investment for US regardless of the outcome for precisely the reasons I stated. The fact that some delusional loons in Washington might've wanted / expected Russia to collapse is irrelevant. That would've been an additional pleasant surprise for America's hegemonic interests, no doubt, but its failure doesn't negate the fact that US successfully managed to leverage this conflict to vassalized the EU. Prior to the conflict you had dissenting voices within the EU against US's cold war on China, now those voices have largely been silenced.

Revealed: Sellafield nuclear site has leak that could pose risk to public​

Sellafield, Europe’s most hazardous nuclear site, has a worsening leak from a huge silo of radioactive waste that could pose a risk to the public, the Guardian can reveal.

Concerns over safety at the crumbling building, as well as cracks in a reservoir of toxic sludge known as B30, have caused diplomatic tensions with countries including the US, Norway and Ireland, which fear Sellafield has failed to get a grip of the problems.


The leak of radioactive liquid from one of the “highest nuclear hazards in the UK” – a decaying building at the vast Cumbrian site known as the Magnox swarf storage Silo (MSSS) – is likely to continue to 2050. That could have “potentially significant consequences” if it gathers pace, risking contaminating groundwater, according to an official document.

Sellafield contains significantly more radioactive material than Chornobyl.

Previously unreported document reveals that 2.3-2.5 cubic metres of radioactive “liquor” has been leaking from the facility every day.

A minimum of 2650 - 2900 cubic meters of radioactive waste has already leaked out of this site since October 2020. Who knows how much this thing was leaking before October 2020. For reference, the standard olympic swimming pool used during the games is roughly 2500 cubic meters.

In July last year, the Committee on Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment noted in its public minutes that “the leak has been continuing at the same rate since October 2020, around 2.5m [cubic meters] per day …”.

However, the extent of the radioactive material lost to the ground from the leak was redacted from the meeting minutes.

Yes, America has successfully managed to vassalize EU, but China was powerless to stop it. I think China correctly calculated that instead of being totally neutral and isolating Russia to score worthless token points with the EU, it continues military cooperation with Russia and supports its economy because China's credibility as a trustworthy ally and partner is at stake. Any short-term economic gains brought by courting EU and isolating Russia would've been useless and in fact disastrous against the perceived lack of spine to support its closest ally. China's multipolar world order ambitions would've collapsed.
At the same time, this doesn't contradict that the US has also skillfully navigated its interests in this conflict just as China has.

i dont see how its worth while investment when Europe is in economic and demographic depression. when Brexit weakened UK economy. it attracted even more non-European immigrants. EU already has huge trade deficit with China. sooner or later it will have to take action to protect what is left of its Industry. Russia can maintain trade surplus with China. when Russia airspace is closed to Europeans do you think the other airspace that is open its free?. east europeans die in Ukraine or engaged in building useless weopons. this is creating opening for global south in Europe. just like previous conflicts lead to rise of Mexico and hispanic in US. US has much more ability to integrate which Europe lacks.

Lip service? Kicking out Huawei, putting tariffs on Chinese EVs/solar/wind producers, putting outbound / inbound Chinese investment curbs, denying ASML litho machines to China, lobbying other countries against BRI and creating alternatives (Global gateway) is EU's "lip-service" to America? I don't think so.
Yes EU economy is not doing well but let's not forget that the EU is $20T market vs Russia which is $2T market. The US correctly calculated that they would rather have a rabid belligerent anti-China EU + friendly-China Russia rather than a slightly anti-China EU + neutral Russia.

The EU market only has value if China invests into that market and can get anything of value out of it. A market that doesn't produce anything of value towards China is no true loss to be honest. Without cheap energy and also without anything worth delivering and basically with a much depleted military thanks to this fight in Ukraine and with its political standing in the world basically shot in the dick due to sucking up to the USA too much, well that 20T market doesn't really hold much value over time, especially when China has more reasonable options available and given that it is in Chinas interest to let the EU suffer for a little while in order to thoroughly educate them about the follies of there support to the USA that is responsible for all of there woes right now, I reckon more nations will eventually jump ship when the USA is screwed up enough. Right now, the USA can push other nations around but one day, inevitably, many nations for the sake of self preservations will turn there backs on the USA and on that day, it will be too late to regret anything.

Also, those youtube anchors mistake one thing as well that the USA is a nation that is fundamentally built on genocide and the USA as a result will always default to the action that will grant them what they want in the most violent way possible at the cost of future consequences. Just because Kissinger was around to moderate things at one point doesn't mean that the USA is any wiser I mean look at Lindsay Graham/Marco Rubio for crying out loud.
