I don’t think they’ll do much better than the guy with Down syndrome…
Before 2019, some of the best talents of Taiwan moved to HK coz of better pay especially in finance. You could get as close to China and doing business related to them without actually being there.
In contrast, only rejects of HK would ever consider going to Taiwan. I mean the pay is a lot worse and due to degree inflation, it's hard to get a decent job. HKers on average had it better than guys in Taiwan.
Why would that suddenly change or be different now?

Those "tibet" protesters have been flying in from all around the world to protest in france and hungry. Wonder who funds these groups ... Many of the ones in SF APEC 2023 protesting also traveled in from all around the USA.
That is an awfully small crowd there. For such a ‘popular movement’ I expected better. Not to mention the number of tibetans in that image is like literally half the number of the total if not less. I guess this must be a meet up crowd for a table tennis meetup instead of real movement, maybe those billions sent to Ukraine couldn’t even spare a cent to buy any other help meaning that NGO department is being stretched for money. Useless fools, also all that hooker and blow in HK didn’t amount to anything at all given the end result so those people providing those ‘services’ basically sold their bodies for nothing. Truly stupid and disrespectful to themselves to be honest with all

I looked through the social media of some of these protestors. They are mainly American.
They were shouting uniform English in Hungary for a Tibetan protest, which is just sad. I didn't see a single one speak or write Tibetan, except an old white person who shouted two Tibetan words. The others copied him, sounding like Americans chanting fantasy LotR elvish. It was obvious they didn't know the Tibetan.
Looks like the Tibetan exiles have deteriorated into a few young Americans shouting "Free Tibet" twice a year and then doing nothing else. The majority will also marry non-Tibetans, shredding any last link to the real Tibet.

Actual Tibetans in Tibet don't get a free pass for being one since almost everyone is one there. As a result they have to follow the life of a normal human being which includes getting a normal job to make a living.
Ironic and amusing that they, in their misguided attempt to preserve their 'identity', ended up losing it to the very 'people' they thought were their supporters...
The older I get the more I respect China's way of handling human trash; let them pollute the genepools of those that raise them, and in the process disperse and scatter them forever; while the strong and productive stay in China to become the bedrock for the next generation of proud Chinese.
