Yes, I understand that. I have a soft spot for STOBAR aircraft carriers, so I am partial to the current ships coming out of China and India. :)

The STOBAR aircraft carriers of China and India are more or less derived from Soviet technology. The reason why the Soviet Union adopted STOBAR was due to the unavailability and maintenance difficulty of steam ejection technology in polar regions, and ultimately turned to STOBAR instead of CATOBAR. So you can pay attention to Russian aircraft carrier threads (if it exist)

Thank you for that information, I will keep it in mind. I am aware of the limitations in the technology, but the simpler nature also offers advantages at times.

I have seen usage of both PLANS and CNS by the navy ships, usually on printed banners on the boarding ladders photographed during their foreign visits, and also inside the ships. Also "PLA Navy" and "China Navy" are being used inter-changeably many times.

So both CNS and PLANS are correct officially.

Strange, there should still be Z-20 anti submarine and search and rescue types here; The Z-9 search and rescue model may take some time.
There are also J15 shipborne trainer models and JL10 shipborne trainer models.
There should also be carrier based drones (reconnaissance, attack, refueling, electric warfare) appearing.
These fighter jets, drones, and helicopters can theoretically take off from STOBAR.
