ZTQ-15 and PRC Light Tanks

India claims that its T-90 deployed in Ladakh will absolutely dominate against Type-15 light tanks. On paper T-90 has thicker armor and much bigger gun. So, why did China design a light tank for mountain warfare? How advantageous is it to have a 30 ton tank in a ladakh Scenario. How would Type-15 deal with fighting a T-90 which will outgun it?
No vehicle that can keep up with a Type-15 in the kind of terrain it's designed for can outfight it, and no vehicle that can out fight it can keep up with it in the kind of terrain it's designed for.
Think of it as a battlecruiser to the MBTs that are battleships.
Why are Indians buying Russian light tanks if the T-90 could dominate?

Hitting a fast moving target (type 15) is a lot harder than hitting a stationary target (t-90). The t90 will be moving very slowly that the type 15 can literally run circles around it at full speed and take pot shots. T90's thicker armor is only in the front, so the type 15 can just move to the side or back and shoot it.
Think of the t-90 as the heavy weight boxer that is out of breath and the type 15 is the fresh medium weight quick on his feet. If the heavy boxer can hit the medium weight guy then sure it would hurt, but good luck landing a shot. The lighter guy while just go behind the heavier and hit him in the back 5 times.
For simple reason T 90 deployment cost more and as for domination sorry to hurt your fragile ego but nothing in your arsenal is dominating T 90S
