wonder if a cage that low would mess with the blowout panels
Shouldn't, pressure from blast can still escape properly
I wonder if next gen tank design might take the incorporation of cope cage into account, designed organically to work with RWS and APS, more like an extra-bulky spaced armor
The cages are finally here in China. Looks pretty unique and nice. Tbh not sure the next gen tank can fit them, since doesn't it have very bulky APS systems up top?
Yeah I don't mean the next gen tank designs we saw shown up in China recently, I'm just musing about future design.
Of course if APS can be made to deal with drone threat well enough then we probably won't see cope cage in future tanks at all. But if not, then we may see some weird designs with bulky cope cage and APS, RWS and optics sticking out of them like periscope. Also, cope cage is just the quick and dirty solution, if future designs gonna pay the price in bulk factor they may as well go for some proper spaced armor that provide more defense against non-drone threat
