Z-9 utility helicopter - family & versions

The thing that people are forgetting is that the Z-9 based on Dauphin wasnt designed for:
A) Attack Helicopter
&
B) Military Helicopter

The AH-1 was entirely built with attack helicopter in mind while the WZ-9 base based from a commerical helicopter fitted with ATGM, so its performance wasn't suited for attack helicopter specification nor was its structure to carry heavey payloads or protection.

400+ helicopters currently in the PLA read something that the PLA needed 3000+ helicopters of all types, so helicopters the PLA are really in need of. It is evident in the level of activity the PLA is pursuing in helicopter sector wether it be joint development or indigenous. PLA are really rushing and pacing helicopter program to fill in the massive gaps. But the helicopter design itself isnt the easiest technology to harnest.

I have a few questions about an attack version of WZ-9 I saw on a Chinese website:

1) What is the max takeoff weight?

2) Is the cabin size reduced?

3) Is this version of WZ-9 gonna replace the original, or just be a support version?



I also want to note that I saw a "Snoopy-nosed" Z-9 in the PROFESSIONAL DISCUSSIONS forum and want to reply to that thread, but can't. So, my reply is: The nose has an equal ammount of shine on it so it probbably isn't photoshopped, but the ammount of shine depends on the material or coat used on the nose. And the front landing gear appears to be moved a little closer to the fuselage front end, but not too much of a problem.

1）usually 8 HJ-8 s or 8 TY-90 s

3）。。。all of them will be replaced by Z10（before the“Snoopy-nosed" replace the”original“）

Z-9AW is just a kind of transitional product before the Z-10
