The fuselage, when i try to measure it and compare it to regular z18, seems less tall. As if they made the floor thinner? PErhaps that's where older Z18 stored fuel, in a double floor? Wish we had clearer images of the frontal or back section so the overall width of the aircraft is visible.

It look so sleek and modern, I think its on the same class as the AGUSTA/WESTLAND AW101.


Indeed, and I must admit, I'm surprised: The Z-8L was always described as a "wide boy variant" of the Z-8G, now - if my laymen's attempt si not too far off - shows it is more a longer and flatter, streamlined fuselage variant.

It looks like they took design cues from the S-92 for the fuselage, although bigger, overall?.

Hi Deino,

The joy of being a PLA watcher, its like what Forrest Gump will say " The PLA is like a box of chocolate , you never know what you will see" sorry for the corny joke :cool:
