Cockpit arrangement seems similar to that of the Cobra in that its mostly flush and not stepped like in the Z-10?
How do you guys even see a anything? The whole cockpit area is one big blur.
We really need a bit better image.
That being said, an attack chopper heavily based on z20 would be a very good choice. What todays attack choppers need (if you wanna have them in the first place) is power, payload and range. Enough room for plenty of sensors and weapons and enough power and fuel to haul all that around to long distances.
Armor is secondary, as is maneuverability and a gun.

Many “interim” solutions in the PLA ends up being permanent, especially in the Army branch. Just look at Type-96A.
