Seems kinda chubby compared to a dedicated attack Helo like Apache. Is this supposed to be similar to Soviet Hind? With both troop transport and attack/air support after wards?

Well, duh! It's a transport helicopter converted to an assault role, of course it's "chuby" compared to platforms designed to be dedicated attack helicopters from day one (tandem seats with smaller frontal cross-section). I'm reminded of the old joke that on the third day Eagle Eye noticed that the barn was missing one wall.

Couple of news reports stating that the Harbin Z-20T is about to make a debut at the upcoming China Helicopter Expo in Tianjin. This is not quite correct, as the model was already operational by the PLA since the beginning of the year, and was brought out at the 9.3 Victory Day Parade, it will just be showcased in detail for the first time in Tianjin officially..

My favorite photo of the Z-20KS from this weekend. (Insanely superficial but) the rotorwash on the trees look really cool too.
