Slightly off topic, what are all your favorite watches? Chinese or otherwise.

I have been a fan of Seiko for a very long time. Currently sporting their "Dress KX" [

] as some like to call it. It's basically a diver without the ridiculous bezel; goes well with many straps.

Favorite watches that I'll never own:

Favorite watches that I would seriously consider purchasing (not all):

Little too much for me. I'm still in the Casino and Seiko leagues dude.

Also kinda flashy. I prefer subtle, even if it is really expensive and high end. Reason I like JLC so much I guess.

There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone should have a Casio in their collection, whether it's the G-Shock (original like the 5600 not their current monstrosities) or their iconic F-91W. Citizen is another brand that should get more attention but don't. Even Timex is showing signs of a comeback like their WW75 (unfortunately a limited edition) or their Expedition North Titanium.

I've always viewed watches as a tool (as that is what it once was in the past) and never understood why one needs to spend thousands of dollars on one. I personally draw the line at around $1,500 - $2,000 USD. It makes zero sense to me to spend more than $2,000 for a watch. However, the artificial high price doesn't stop me from admiring their craftsmanship and design. The Breitling on my list would be my favorite of all.

I currently have 2 watches on my wish list. A Ming (Any one, they are impossible to order) and a Trilobe Nuit Fantastique in blue.

Breitling is a good value watch IMO, same with JLC. I of course owns both, so might be a bit biased.

I'm told Breitling quality/reliability is not as good as you might expect?

They weren't good back in the early 2000s, unfortunately that's when I got my first Breitling, so I would know. The time slip increased to maybe 20seconds a day by the third year unless I get it serviced. And I don't use it very often, maybe 3-4 days a month.

They significantly decreased their model offering now and went to just a few movements, so the quality got a lot better.

Ahahaha you'd hate my Gshock then, its a huge one. I got it for my old summer job outside and its held up really nicely. I wanted one with solar and radio time reception and ended getting a GMW530A. That really is a true tool watch, I didn't use it for anything else but i depended on it so much back then.

Ugh...56.8 mm lug-to-lug?! What's your wrist size? 8 inches? LOL

I just got a Baltic watch made with a Hangzhou micro movement. Extremely light and surprised that with their choice of movement. Never knew about the Hangzhou movement but it is accurate so far.
