Do you know if they are being persecuted by either the Vietnamese government or people?

According to a report, these Montagnard people used to fight for the US during Vietnam war. We can assume the Vietnam government dislike them in their heart. And in recent protest, some of them were jailed (with or without trial). The rest flee to Cambodia admit fear of being jailed.
