Okay...here are the four DDH flattops that the Japanese have. I will post two messages with the four in order:

DDH-181 Hyuga (Hyuga Class - Full displacement about20,000 tons)

The JMSDF "Flattops" are beautiful ships. I'd like to see more action on the flight deck..of course. Lots more!

I really hope that they go ahead and build four of these following for Fixedc wing, sea control operations.

That would shake up the WESTPAC for sure!

My impression is that this bird is just a bit larger an F-16 and its canopy doesn't suggest any stealthy design at all. Do we have any belly photo of it to prove it has an internal bay?

I find most modern JMSDF ships easy on the eye.

26 August, a Viet Name Air Force trainer crashed in Phu Yen province killed its pilot and injured one man on the ground. This has been the third deadly in recent since June this year.
