The reality is that the military in general is being staved of funds and still it keeps its equipment in bristol condition. However the deferred maintenance was felt last year when a frigate of the ARA was stranded in South Africa until funds were made available to have it repaired.

I don’t see the Navy ever operating a carrier again, at least not in my lifetime. Half of the squadron of Super Etendards is based on the Brazilian carrier in order to keep current. The home based (half) squadron also participates in “touch and go” landing on American carrier when they round the cape (gringo gaucho manuvers).

If the Navy ever obtains full funding (or if I were the defense minister) I would overhaul and repair the current vessels (both the Meko 140s and 360s), have them updated with more modern weapon systems and Build the remaining 4 TR-1700 submarines or purchase 4 Kilo class from Russian or 4 Song class from China.

IMHO that little boy simply faked thees extremist killers out. He very theatrically acted like he was shot and fell down dead...and was pretty convincing about it. And I believe it it saved his and the little girl's life.

He then got up after faking them out convicningly, and saved the little girl...maybe his sister. As I said, that kid is a real hero.

The miscreants who would in cold blood shoot down little children like that, while fnatically shouting their "Allah Akbar," chants...deserve absolutely no mercy.

As the Dutch bikers have said, who have gone over there from the Netherlands to help the Kurds...when it comes to these ISIS or extremist fighters, "exterminate the rodents."
