Trainees to the Elite French Air Force Commando Unit CPA30 (CPA n°30 Commandos Parachutistes de l’air n°30) underwent specialist Combat Search and Rescue training at Cazaux 120 Air Base,.
The rigorous training course which lasts about two months and includes specific modules related to combat and training in the aérocordage. Students train with crews from Helicopter Squadron 1/67 "Pyrenees" Cazaux.
CPA30 has been used in many operational theaters like Afghanistan, Lebanon and Libya and consists of 140 commandos and CPA No. 30 is a CSAR unit.
The rigorous training course which lasts about two months and includes specific modules related to combat and training in the aérocordage. Students train with crews from Helicopter Squadron 1/67 "Pyrenees" Cazaux.

Or at least try firing one at the shooting range if they have it.
