Re: Argentine Armed Forces

It is now official that all the Mirage III’s, Nesher’s and Mirage V’s are now grounded and have been placed in operational storage. The Storage fleet consists of 13 Mirage IIIEA’s and EJ’s; 12 Nesher’s (aka Finger) and 9 Mirage V’s.
The valiant Mirage’s where meticulously maintained, however age and airframe fatigue finally caught up with them. The only “fast jets” remaining in the Air Force inventory are 34 A-4AR

Nope it is a jet. I think it is a world record setter since it could fly 0.5 meters above ground. Saw it on a Chinese forum first. This is an accomplishment that the Argentinians should be proud of.

Yes you are correct! I have attached three links of videos below, which exemplify low level flying.
One is of the IA-63 trainer pictured above and the others are of an A-4AR and an IA-58 Pucara

Thank you for the kind words about the pictures. Actually that’s some very good low level flying. It was a tactic developed during the conflict with England to avoid radar detection. Please see the Video links I have posted above
