Indian soldiers display arms and ammunition and Pakistani currency allegedly seized in a gunbattle and displayed at an army headquarter in Srinagar on August 31, 2010. Indian troops killed nine suspected militants as they tried to cross the de facto border with Pakistan that divides the volatile region of Kashmir, the army said. India has in the past accused the Pakistani army of providing covering fire for infiltrating militants. Islamabad denies the charge. India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire along the LoC in 2003 and began a peace process in 2004. Since then there have been sporadic clashes with both sides accusing each other of violating the truce.
