Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina (C), head of the Philippines' highway police, shows to the press hundreds of illegal sirens and blinkers confiscated from motorists in Manila on July 5, 2010. The anti-siren drive was launched after newly inaugurated President Benigno Aquino vowed an end to the illegal use of sirens by unruly civilians motorists who go against the flow of traffic to escape Manila's notoriously clogged roads. Aquino himself has banned his own security detail from beating the red light or part traffic for the presidential convoy to illustrate that no one one is above the law.

This problem is the same serious in Cambodia as in The Phillipine. When there is a convoy of a high rank official, they deploy police along the way, and when the convoy is about to come, the police chase people into both sides and leave the way for the convoy. If one side of the traffic is jammed, they will go against the flow of the traffic and run over the red light as well.
