Well, here's my story. About two years ago my sophmore English teacher wanted us to write a research paper about a controversial topic. I ended up picking the fight over Kashmir because my other topics weren't good enough for her. Anyway, I went ahead and started to do some research about the topic and I landed at PDF (Pakistanidefenceforum.com). I didn't join the forum until last year, but I did read all the articles on the forum with great interest. Afterwards, I read a book called "War at the Top of the World" by Eric S. Margolis. He wrote much about the rivalries in South Asia and much about the Chinese armed forces. I then decided to do some research about the Chinese armed forces and I came to this site. I was one of the first members on this site (well, I registered a couple of months after the forum opened up) and afterwards I became a mod.
What really opened my eyes to the world was 9/11. Before then I had no idea what happened in the world or why it happened. After 9/11 I decided not to be caught off guard again. Since then, I have accumulated much knowledge in terms of politics and military related issues. Well, that's my story.
