The first two on the left are HQ-9/S-300 family launchers and radar. I don't think that's a scud, that's a DF-15. I wonder what that airplane in the middle top photograph is. It looks like an F-16?!

I have no idea what sort of aircraft that is.:confused:Looks like an F-16..but it ain't!!! And there's a regiment(squadron) behind that plane!.Gadzooks! What is it!?:eek: Maybe a little "PS"??

I also found this picture on another Chinese site. I wish I could read Chinese!!!!! Any ideas guys????

hm, i would say that's blown up fake of f16 no matter what. but i dont really get why. i get why they'd make other fakes, of s300, flanker, tanks, etc, but why a f16? some training for actions versus taiwan?

I think that would be the idea. For bombing practise. Practise bombing a "real" target is probably better than practise bombing a piece of carboard.

Just my 2 cents though...

I remember in the early days of this forum some pics of some PLA soliders doing some training around some "fake" F-16's. Maybe these pics are those aircraft....

They really look like F-16.

Just have a look at the "IR missiles". They seem to me over-sized. Same thing with the canopy.

Look at the landing gear: I don't know why, but it doesn't seem "normal" to me. Same with the payload. All the colours and shining are strange, but that's the same for all the pictures.

For me it is a fake F-16. Maybe even a down-sized fake. But what for?

It indeeds looks like a f16, but it is freakishly messed up. The fat landing gear, oversized cockpit and more. But what is that tank?

They are inflatables for fooling airplanes, so I doubt they can see the bottom of the plane. The tank should be a M1.

Why would it be surprising if those are F-16s and co? This is probably for propaganda, targeting, etc.

They are fake decoy to waste enemy PGM just like what Serbs do during the Kosovo war! Which they make the coalition forces like ******
